The Soca Warriors again made the most of home advantage to win their second consecutive Caribbean Futsal Qualifying Tournament, on this occasion beating Haiti 6-3 in the decider. Both sides earned the right to participate in the CONCACAF Championship in June, when the region's representatives at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Brazil 2008 will be decided.

T&T earned the right to face Haiti in the final after the pair took top spots in Groups A and B respectively. An inspired Colin Joseph, scorer of two goals in the decider, was pivotal to the hosts repeating their success of 2004, when they also won this tournament on home soil.

The final place on the podium went to Suriname, who claimed third spot thanks to an emphatic 7-3 win over Guyana. The entire tournament was played at the Canedo Hall Centre of Excellence in Macoya.

This year's CONCACAF Championship, which will be held in Guatemala between 2 and 8 June, will decide the confederation's three representatives at Brazil 2008. Joining T&T and Haiti will be hosts Guatemala, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Panama and the USA.

The 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup, the sixth in all, will take place in Brazil between 30 September and 19 October.
