Sweden right-back Niclas Alexandersson will miss Saturday's Group D meeting with Spain due to a calf strain, his country have revealed. The 36-year-old, a veteran of 109 internationals, suffered the injury in the 2-0 win over Greece on Tuesday.

The IFK Gothenburg star is also a doubt for Sweden's final UEFA EURO 2008 group match with Russia on 18 June. Fredrik Stoor, 24 and with just six caps to his name, is set to deputise against the Spanish.

Sweden have already lost Christian Wilhelmsson for the entire tournament. The midfielder sustained a thigh strain against the Greeks.
