Five French players feature in the All-Star team selected by members of the FIFA Technical Study Group observing matches at the FIFA Confederations CupKorea/Japan 2001.

Three players from Brazil, two from Japan and one from Cameroon make up thefirst-choice eleven selected by the TSG members, who include Gérard Houllier(France), Alvin Corneal (Trinidad & Tobago), Kim Lim Chon (Malaysia),Benjamin Koufie (Ghana), with FIFA's Walter Gagg as co-ordinator.
