Anheuser Busch Man of the Match Oswaldo Sanchez (MEX)
I am delighted. It is fantastic to be named Man of the Match at a major tournament. It is obviously a great motivation for me.
Jaime Lozano (MEX)
It was a very tight match, and either side could have won. We are very strong when we pick the right passes and create danger in the right areas. We were a bit sluggish in the first half. We wanted to win, but are satisfied not to have lost. I didn't mind whether we played Germany or Argentina, as they are both as tough as each other. Sooner or later, we had to play them.
Ramon Morales (MEX)
Our performances in these three matches have been very encouraging. Against Greece, both sides had chances and it was an interesting game. We will have to do without two important players for the rest of the competition. We are satisfied with what we have achieved so far and are already thinking of our next match. We would like to play well against Argentina and beat them.
Pavel Pardo (MEX)
I'm very happy with the organisation of the tournament. We are starting to get the atmosphere of a World Cup. We played well against Greece, but we didn't pass the ball well. This competition involves the best teams in the world. All the matches are tough, including the next one against Argentina. Even though we have lost two of our players, we have replacements who can do as well.
Carlos Salcido (MEX)
I saw Argentina play against Germany and found them very strong. They will be very hard opponents. Roman Riquelme is playing really great for Argentina. We are going to try to play well, to play to perfection. If we come back to Frankfurt, that will mean we are in the final.
Rafael Marquez (MEX)
It's been a long time since we lost, which proves our team can go far. Our goals is to play the final and win the tournament. We can beat anyone.
Ioannis Amanatidis (GRE)
We wanted to put on a better performance, but we haven't played the way we set out to do. We were still considerably better today than in our first two matches. We've taken a point but we still haven't scored, and that's been the case for five games now. That's our biggest handicap, that's where we've got to improve. We played exclusively for our supporters today. We broke up their rhythm early in the first half and made some progress, but we didn't win a single ball in their half after the break.
Playing here in Frankfurt was very special for me as a former Eintracht player. I really love the stadium. It's turned into a fantastic place, I'm genuinely surprised. All the spectators were brilliant and made sure it was a real festival tonight. The job now is to work even harder and maintain our chance of qualifying for the World Cup.
Angelos Charisteas (GRE)
You don't get a lot of time for goalscoring at a tournament like the Confederations Cup. We landed in a tough group. We showed our true ability today, but we were out of luck. That was our fifth match in the space of just a few weeks, and we've still got to stay fit for the rest of the World Cup qualifying campaign. We want to be at the 2006 World Cup, so we have to start focusing on the qualifying matches. Obviously we want to say thank you to the Greek fans. Our fans were outstanding. It was almost like playing at home.
Panagiotis Fyssas (GRE)
The match against Mexico was very open but we were short of luck. We were forced to make a lot of changes, so we gave the younger players a run-out today and tried a few things. Unfortunately, we 'oldies' didn't contribute a lot. The Greek national team has been playing without a break this summer, so naturally we're all a little tired. We never want to disappoint our followers. We enjoyed a huge triumph last summer with the European Championship, but now we have to concentrate on World Cup qualifying. But the Confed Cup has been a massive experience for all of us.
Angelos Basinas (GRE)
We played well and gave some indication we're capable of more. Our thanks to the fans, who've given us tremendous support. We weren't winning, but they were there when we needed them.
Stylianos Giannakopoulos (GRE)
We showed spirit and character today. We wanted to give a good account of ourselves although we were hit by injury problems again. With a little more luck, we could have won the game today.
