FIFA media conferences in Paris

- 16 June: Briefing on the meeting of the FIFA Organising Committee for the FIFA Confederations Cup France 2003
- 17 June: Media conference with FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter

The first media conference follows the meeting of the Organising Committee for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2003. Chairman of the Committee is Chuck Blazer (USA).

When: Monday, 16 June 2003 at 12.00
Where: Hotel Sofitel Forum Rive Gauche in Paris; Michigan Room in the Convention Centre

The event on 17 June 2003 is a media conference with FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter, who will be speaking to journalists following a meeting of the Board of Directors of FIFA Marketing AG, of which he is Chairman.

Joseph S. Blatter’s itinerary for the first phase of the FIFA Confederations Cup:
- Monday, 16 June: Arrive in Paris early evening
- Tuesday, 17 June: Meeting of Board of Directors of FIFA Marketing AG, media conference and transfer to Lyon; official civic reception in Lyon in evening.
- Wednesday, 18 June: Opening ceremony and match between France and Columbia (21.00) in Lyon
- Thursday, 19 June: Turkey versus USA in St. Etienne (19.00)
- Friday, 20 June: Return to Zurich.

After the tournament, the FIFA President will return to Paris where various Committee meetings (Organising Committee for the FIFA Confederations Cup, Finance Committee, Executive Committee) as well as the draw for the African pre-qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany and media conference on next year’s FIFA Centenary celebrations are arranged.
