Hundreds of schoolchildren across the country have been educated about the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2010 presented by TOYOTA and entertained by the official tournament mascot as part of a far reaching schools programme to promote the event ahead of kick-off next month.
The schools tour, which included a star appearance from the mascot of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2010, is part of a wider community programme linked to the tournament legacy. The visits have aimed to generate excitement and a strong connection with football and this prestigious tournament which is being held in Abu Dhabi in December.
Dhabi visited several schools this week including children at the Future Model School and Al Yasmina School in Abu Dhabi where he provided youngsters with a fun-filled hour of entertainment, including games, give-aways, prize packs and memorabilia along with an information session on the tournament itself.
The Local Organising Committee has implemented the programme to work closely with children at a grass roots level in the run-up to the FIFA Club World Cup being staged at Zayed Sports City and Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
