Jeju crash to Tianjin

Jeju United suffered a disappointing AFC Champions League debut after Yu Dabao's second-half goal clinched a 1-0 win for Tianjin Teda at Jeju FIFA World Cup Stadium.

Following a goalless first half, the hosts were caught out by an incisive Tianjin counter-attack as Zhang Xhaobin forged down the right before delivering a cross to the near post that the Jeju defence were unable to cut out and Yu hooked in.

Jeju came close to snatching a point late in the game when substitute Lee Sang-hyub forced a fine save out of keeper Yang Qipeng before the same player saw a 25-yard free-kick two minutes into stoppage time come back off the bar as their first encounter in the continental competition ended in defeat.
