Holger Osieck (Urawa Reds coach): "I'm
very pleased with my team's performance today, we played good
football throughout the match. My players were very well organised,
they showed great commitment, and we scored three goals. Our target
was to reach the semi-final against AC Milan, one of the best teams
in the world. A game against Milan is a tremendous opportunity for
us. I'm delighted for my players, the club and our fans. They
gave us fantastic support again today."
Washington (Urawa Reds striker): "We played
very well today. I'm pleased with my performance and my goal.
Now we have the honour of facing Milan. Obviously, it'll be an
extremely tough task, because they're a huge club with any
number of star names, but I hope we can beat them and make it to
the Final."
Luka Bonacic (Sepahan coach): "We didn't
see the real Sepahan today. A number of our players were sick, so
obviously they weren't on peak form. But I'm not trying to
make excuses, Urawa were simply much the better team today and
their victory was thoroughly deserved. We were undone by two
individual errors in the second half. Appearing at this tournament
has been a great honour. Unfortunately, we fell well short of our
usual standards today."
Jaba Mujiri (Sepahan defender): "Obviously
we're extremely disappointed about losing to Urawa again. But
life goes on, we have to look to the future and prepare for the
next set of challenges. The FIFA Club World Cup is a fantastic
tournament, and we'll all take away some great memories. I hope
we make it back here next year, and hopefully we'll do better
then."
