  • Brazil's Buru gestures during the match against Spain

"This was always going to be a very difficult match for us and opening games are pretty stressful. Spain is a big beach soccer nation and they made it hard for us with some very tight marking. But we showed how patient we can be and our technique made the difference in the end," Bruno, Brazil player

"We felt good about ourselves during the game. They made us suffer, that's true, but you have to remember that teams always raise their game when they come up against us," Benjamin, Brazil player

"We are absolutely exhausted and we did everything we possibly could. Brazil are Brazil, though, and we paid dearly for the slightest mistake. But that's what usually happens when you play against a perfect team," Amarelle, Spain player
