The greatest goal of 2008 belongs to Portugal's Belchior, as voted for by the users of FIFA.com. The No10 flipped and spun through the sands of Marseille as he scored time and time again in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Marseille 2008. His goal of the year, however, was a gravity-defying overhead kick in their 8-2 win over El Salvador.
USA striker Alex Morgan's 42nd-minute winner against Korea in the final of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Chile 2008 is rated as the second best goal of the year. Morgan walked away with the Adidas Silver Ball and Bronze Shoe awards for her four goals and stellar performance at the tournament.
Rounding off the top three is an overhead kick from Beach Soccer star Amarelle. The Spainiard scored two overhead kicks in Spain's 6-1 win over Japan, but this one was just that bit more impressive. The winner of the Adidas Golden Ball, the highest individual honour at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, is incredible to watch. His power, aerial ability and flexibility made everyone of his 11 goals ones to watch time and time again
