Canadian MPear11 picked up 233 points from five correct picks out of ten to extend his lead at the top with only two weeks remaining in the inaugural season of the FIFA World Leagues Predictor. Closest chaser DanielOlaf of Mexico looks like the only real challenger in with a shout after pulling 196 points for the week and to move within 297 of the leader.
Javy1409 of the USA remains in third with 6981, a full 515 points off the leader and even a monumental showing in the final two rounds would be unlikely to see him lay claim to the grand prize of a trip to the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010.
The week's top picker was bejtulla of Macedonia, who grabbed 540 points. For his outrageous accuracy, the African wins a signed jersey from the FIFA World Cup-winning player of his choosing.
In addition to bejtulla's prize, the six best finishers from the week (one from each of FIFA's six confederations) will each receive the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany book entitled 'The Final Day' together with the DVD 'The Grand Finale'. The lucky bunch from round 29 are: flygirl (CONCACAF, USA), tigrense (CONMEBOL, Argentina) slobodan13 (UEFA, Serbia), Tasneem67(CAF, South Africa), Hasan85 (AFC, Syria) and ravdaone (OFC, Fiji).
After a round that included Boca Juniors-River Plate and Inter-AC Milan, the secon-to-last week of Predictor action has a series of mouthwatering contests including an East Coast-West Coast MLS battle between New York Red Bulls and LA Galaxy and a South African classic between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
