With only seven weeks to go in the inaugural season of the FIFA World Leagues Predictor, the top three selectors are packed in tight and aiming for the grand prize of a trip for two and match tickets to the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

American Javy1409 pulled in a big points haul at the weekend to overtake Mexican favourite and previous pacesetter DanielOlaf (aka Daniel Gomez). MPear11 of Canada rounds out the leading trio with 5,962 points. In all, only 102 points separate first from third, while there is a significant drop of 236 points between third and fourth.

A betting man might say the grand prize is likely to go to one of the North American trio, but that said, six weeks is a long time in the unpredictable world of the Predictor.

This weekend, as always, has some enticing fixtures to pick from including an Arsenal-Liverpool classic at the Emirates. Manchester City will travel to Chelsea while Villarreal try to keep up their form in Spain with a tricky trip to Sevilla.
