A total of seven predictors were tied at the top on 487 points with the outcome of the Werder Bremen-Duisburg game fooling everyone.

Although the seven found a variety of ways to arrive at their shared total, playing their Joker to good effect, this is the first time in Predictor history that the lead has been shared by so many participants.

So take a bow, Nasria007 from Algeria, GoodLuckBear,Enryke and Zubinho from Germany, Romania's CristianD, vilamona from Portugal and Poland's swosmax.

As this week proved to be a closely fought encounter, Nasria007 was chosen at random by FIFA as the week's top picker. This week proved to be a profitable one for Nasria007, whose 487 points made him the round's top picker.

The six best finishers from the week (one from each of FIFA's six confederations) also receive the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany book entitled 'The Final Day' together with the DVD 'The Grand Finale'.

The successful candidates from Round 24 are: GoodLuckBear from Germany (who indeed had good luck in being drawn ahead of five other names from Europe), manabu from Japan [Asia], Andeel from Tanzania [Africa], Gauchito from Canada [CONCACAF], anselmom from Argentina [South America] and Apogee from New Zealand [Oceania].

At the top, US-based predictor javy1409 extended his lead over Daniel Olaf to 60 points following this week's round of matches.

He correctly guessed the outcome of seven out of ten matches - including derby day victories for Liverpool and Rangers to bank 235 points. Nearest challenger, DanielOlaf only had a 50 per cent success rate - and suffered as a result.

However, a 287-point haul saw perennial third-placer MPear11 close into 102 points of top spot. A good week for the Canadian could see him make a late bid for glory.
