The FIFA/FIFPro World XI for 2012 was revealed at the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2012 Gala held in Zurich on 7 January. Over 50,000 professional players participated in voting for the award, which recognizes the best 11 players of the year. “What could be more satisfying than being selected by colleagues from other teams and other leagues?” Said Xavi, one of five Barcelona players named in the World XI for 2012.
FIFA.com Club member got to participate in all the tension and excitement surrounding the award by predicting their personal Top 11 for 2012 by playing our annual FIFA/FIFPro World XI Predictor game. Over 54,000 Club Members participated in the prediction game, carefully navigating the list of 55-nominees and trying to predict the winning combination.
