It’s Thursday and for FIFA Match Predictors that means two things: Getting your predictions in before the midnight deadline and, of course, our weekly interview with one of our recent round winners!
“I'm a fan of Gremio and Barcelona,“ says Nininha_LM, our Round 16 winner for FIFA Match Predictor. The Brazilian student is the fourth weekly Predictor winner this season to hail from the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ host nation. We chatted to 'Nininha_LM' about her victory.
FIFA.com: You successfully predicted the scoreline in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Real Madrid back in December's El Clasico at the Bernabeu. How did you decide on this scoreline?
Nininha_LM: I backed this result because I thought that Barcelona would come out best. However, because Barça was playing away from home, at the Santiago Bernabeu, I believed Real Madrid would score a goal. Ultimately, I thought 3-1 was the best guess.
What football match are you most looking forward to in 2012?
There are many! I believe this year will have many good games to watch. But I hope for another classic Barcelona-Real Madrid encounter.
Did you manage to play our FIFA/FIFPro World XI Predictor before the deadline?
Yes, I played and really enjoyed it! I chose the players who in my opinion did best in 2011.
If you had to predict a player, other than yourself, to win Season 5 of FIFA Match Predictor who would you choose and why?
I have no idea! The game is pretty tight and I think anybody can win!
