Match of the week
Manchester United-Manchester City (England)
The last Manchester derby, a goalless draw in November, failed to live up to fans’ expectations, however far greater things are expected this coming weekend when City visit Old Trafford. City currently occupy third-place and a win on Saturday would put them within two points of leader’s United. The Red Devils meanwhile, suffered their very first defeat of the season last Saturday - a 2-1 loss at Wolves - a turn of fortune that City are hoping to capitalise on.
Serie A race heats up
Wesley Sneijder celebrated his return to Inter’s starting line-up after a two-month absence with a sensational 5-3 win against Roma. Next, the defending Italian champions face Juventus as they continue their quest to retain the Scudetto. Juve, meanwhile, have some new firepower up front with on-loan Alessandro Matri scoring a brace in his debut for the club this past weekend. The home side have made a poor start to 2011 winning just two of their seven league games to date.
Boca Juniors-Godoy Cruz (Argentina)
In the first matchday of Argentina’s 2010/11 Clausura, Godoy Cruz travel to Boca Juniors. The last time Boca Juniors and Godoy Cruz faced off the result was a 1-1 draw. Godoy Cruz are an enticing longshot with an approximate 91-point return for a win.
