Round 34 of FIFA World Leagues Predictor Season 3 saw a photo-finish between the top two predictors. Both caardona and kfarias enjoyed returns on eight correct predictions and also snagged bonus points. Ultimately, caardona edged out kfarias by just two points to claim a signed FIFA World Cup™ winner’s jersey. The fixture that ultimately separated the two frontrunners was Lille’s surprise win over recently-crowned Ligue 1 champions Marseille. Mathieu Debuchy’s 94th-minute strike clutched a 3-2 win for Lille over Marseille and handed caardona an 80-point return.

Weekend highlights
The 1-1 draw between Flamengo and Sao Paulo in Brazil returned 79 points, while in Italy an identical result between Palermo and Sampdoria returned 78 points. In Mexico, Pumas UNAM 1-0 win over Santos Laguna (45 points) was not enough to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit in their second-leg of their Bicentenario quarterfinal. Meanwhile in Korea Republic, a late Kim Jong-Chul goal clinched a 1-0 win for Incheon United against FC Seoul (73 points).

In the Bundesliga, Hannover romped to a 3-0 win over VFL Bochum (54 points) to survive the relegation drop. Bochum join Hertha in the German second division next season.
