In the final round of this season's FIFA World Leagues Predictor a number of all-or-nothing fixtures are set to decide predictors' fates. Although FIFA World Leagues Predictor takes a break in June and July don't miss out on all the FIFA World Cup™ qualification action as both McDonald's FIFA World Cup Predictor and Fantasy games have upcoming matchdays.
Match of the week: Fiorentina-AC Milan (Italy)
Fourth-placed Fiorentina will attempt to secure UEFA Champions League qualification in their last match of the season against AC Milan. Third-placed Milan will be playing to win and hopefully squeeze out Juventus for the Serie A runners-up place. The big question: will Paolo Maldini's final game for AC Milan be bitter or sweet? AC Milan are favourites despite recent back-to-back losses against Udinese and Roma.
Relegation rumble: Sporting Gijon-Recreativo Huelva (Spain)
With fourth-from-the-bottom Osasuna at home to Real Madrid, Sporting Gijon play already relegated Recreativo Huelva for a last chance at surviving the drop. Gijon are overwhelming favourites at 65 per cent, while a draw or Recreativo Huelva win would return over 80 points.
The Longshot: Boca Juniors-San Martin (Argentina)
With just four games left, all eyes are on the drop zone in Argentina's Clausura. Boca Juniors, who have won only one of their last six games, face a San Martin (Tucuman) team that have displayed equally disappointing form of late. While Boca are overwhelming favourites, a lack of incentive may give San Martin the advantage. San Martin, who have the toughest path to the season end, must win if they want to stay up. Will this result determine Los Cirujas and predictors' fates alike?
High stakes games:
Bordeaux are 90-minutes away from clinching the French title. A win or draw ensures their title success. A good result, however, won't be easy against a Caen team desperate to stay in the top tier of French football. Victory for Caen keeps them in Ligue 1 while a loss puts the ball in 18th-placed Saint-Etienne's court, who face Valenciennes on the same day.
In the last matchday of the Turkish season, fifth-placed Galatasaray are at home to second-placed Sivasspor. Expect a heated contest as Galatasaray try to secure a European place. Likewise, Sivasspor will be fired up with both everything to gain or lose in this fixture. A Sivasspor win carries with it the possibility of a Turkish title, while a loss could cost them UEFA Champions League qualification. Gala are tipped at 71 per cent to win at home but should Sivasspor surprise, their backers will earn 87 points.
Tune in Monday, for the final results of FIFA World Leagues Predictor. At stake is one signed FIFA World Cup winner's jersey for the Round winner and a trip for two to the 2009 FIFA World Player Gala for the overall winner.
