The Bureau of the FIFA Referees’ Committee has appointed the referees and referee’s assistants for the semifinals and the finals of the FIFA Confederations Cup France 2003.
Valentin Ivanov of Russia will referee the Final at the Stade de France on 29 June. The 42-year old teacher from Moscow was recently in charge of one of the two UEFA Champions League semifinal clashes between Inter and AC Milan. Ivanov’s interesting FIFA record includes assignments as a referee assistant at the FIFA World Cup™ USA 1994 and the FIFA Under-17 World Championship 1993 in Japan.
