Last Monday’s FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony brought together many of the biggest names in football and showbiz to celebrate the best in the beautiful game.

Naturally, Cristiano Ronaldo took centre stage, with his success in reclaiming the Ballon d’Or prompting tears of joy from the Real Madrid star. But while plenty in Zurich’s Kongresshaus would have wished to stand in Ronaldo’s shoes in that moment of triumph, at the pinnacle of his profession, the Portuguese icon was not the only source of envy.

Many would also have readily swapped places with Fuleco, the cuddly mascot of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. After all, as this picture shows, the little armadillo became the object of affection for a fellow Brazilian: none other than renowned model and actress, Adriana Lima.
