The European play-offs for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ take place on 15 and 19 November. Ukraine are up against France – a difficult, but by no means impossible task for the eastern Europeans, who are hoping to reach the finals for the second time in their history.

In the video of the week, we look back at Ukraine’s impressive performance at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The team, led by Andriy Shevchenko, reached the quarter-finals in Germany seven years ago, where they lost to eventual winners Italy.
