But, of course, this isn’t just anyone. It is a young Diego Armando Maradona, and just as the ‘I Love Soccer’ sticker behind the headboard indicates his infatuation of the period, so football was about to fall in love with him.
Indeed, Friday marked the anniversary of the date, in 1977, when Maradona - aged just 16 - made his international debut for Argentina against Hungary.
It was also the day on which the wider world began waking up to a player who would carve out a reputation as one of the greatest – some would argue the greatest – in the history of the beautiful game.
