Marquez’s favourite World Cup moments

Rafael Marquez is one of Mexican football’s most celebrated names, having played for his country at three FIFA World Cups™ (2002, 2006 and 2010), reaching the last 16 each time.

After a period away from the national team set-up, he celebrated his return to the side for the recent World Cup play-off against New Zealand, and could be set for a fourth outing on the world stage in Brazil later this year.

Marquez celebrates his 35th birthday today, prompting us to devote our Video of the Week to the *El Tri *star.

Now plying his trade at CD Leon in his homeland, the former Monaco and FC Barcelona star reveals his fondest World Cup memories, as well as allowing viewers a more intimate glimpse of his personality. Enjoy!
