You all know that Brazil met Japan at the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia on Saturday. What you probably didn’t know is that they battled it out earlier that day around 18,000km away – at least fish representing the two countries did!

An aquarium in Yokohama, Japan turned one of its fish tanks into a football pitch, threw in a fish bait-filled ball, and let Yellow Tang (Brazil) & Blue Palette Surgeon (Japan) fight it out!

And though the teams struggled to put the ball in the net in Japan’s most populous city, one of them didn’t in the Brazilian capital. Indeed it took Neymar, who recently joined Barcelona from Santos, who are nicknamed O Peixe (The Fish), just three minutes to fire A Seleção en route to a 3-0 victory.
