Garoto

SWEET MEMORIES

Garoto has grown into one of Brazil's largest manufacturers of chocolate and confectionary.

Founded in 1929, Garoto began as a small, family-owned and run business that has since grown into one of Brazil's largest manufacturers of chocolate and confectionary.

Garoto's sunny yellow branding was a familiar sight at the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 – and will be again next summer at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

Garoto was quick to begin campaigning ahead of the tournament and, in addition to launching an online competition to search for the best chocolate recipe from its younger customers, the company enjoyed a sole and exclusive activation that offered selected children aged 12-15 the unforgettable opportunity to soak up the pre-game atmosphere – just as the teams do.

Touching Greatness

Lucky winners get to experience the pre-match build-up thanks to Garoto.

These Pre-Game Experiences, the Sonho de Garoto, included a chance to visit a dressing room and also join in with the singing of the national anthem. Former Brazil goalkeeper Marcos acted as ambassador of the programme and joined the kids during their visit to the stadium. During the opening match the following day, the adults also had some fun and guests at a variety of games could be seen enjoying themselves in their business seat section.

Garoto also activated a Commercial Display at each of the six Host City venues and these proved popular destinations for young fans eager to test their skills on a special football game that measured the strength of the player's kick!

Garoto also played an important part in keeping the fans at force. They were part of the food & beverage programme and their chocolates and ice creams were sold at the concession stands and through hawkers in all stadiums.
