At the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013, the Official Licensees provided an impressive array of expertise, helping to ensure the smooth and enjoyable running of a competition that has grown into a truly global event.


FIFA's continued relationship with the luxury watchmakers Hublot as the Official FIFA Timekeeper signalled the strengthening of a bond that began four years ago. Hublot unveiled eye-catching Countdown Clocks in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro that will only increase the anticipation as we move towards the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

The clock in Rio de Janeiro, which was unveiled by the legendary Pelé, registers the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the start of the FIFA World Cup™ and is located at the Copacabana. 

Final Countdown

FIFA Licensee Hublot created this wonderful installation in Rio de Janeiro to mark the days remaining until the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

Champagne Taittinger

In a historic agreement, the famous independent Family House of Champagne Taittinger was chosen as the Official FIFA Champagne for both the FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. Champagne Taittinger, which is present in 150 countries around the world, was served to guests in the lounges of FIFA's VIP and VVIP areas during the FIFA Confederations Cup.

A First for Thirst

Taittinger Champagne was on offer for the first time at a FIFA event.


A world-leading manufacturer of glass, chemicals, ceramics and high-tech materials, AGC became an Official FIFA Licensee in order to provide the world's first glass roofs for player and official benches at both the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. The roofs incorporate AGC's Dragontrail™ cover glass technology, the same material used in smartphone, tablet and television displays. 

AGC's high-performance fluoropolymer film “Fluon®ETFE Film” has been used in the exterior façade of the 46,000-capacity Arena Pernambuco in Recife.

Lidio Carraro Winery

A young and vibrant winery from South Brazil, Lidio Carraro debuted its Faces range of wines at the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 as part of a FIFA Licensing agreement that will see some 600,000 bottles produced between now and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. Inspired by the selection of a football team, the Faces range of wines will be the Official Licensed Wine, bringing together eleven varieties of grapes from the different producing regions of Rio Grande do Sul. With 26 blends, these wines are a tribute to the individual states that make up Brazil.

As a long-standing FIFA Licensee, Panini continues the tradition of FIFA World Cup™ sticker albums begun way back in 1970. Panini's Virtual Sticker Album was a runaway success at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ and will undoubtedly be a highlight this time round. To commemorate FIFA Confederatons Cup 2013, Panini issued a special album and stickers featuring only FIFA Confederations Cup participating teams. Also, as part of its lead-up to next year's showpiece, Panini has launched a new album and a new trading card game – 'Road to 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™', which will add to the thrill and excitement of the run-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.

Correios is one of the largest state-owned companies in Latin America and, as the national postal service of Brazil, is a central part of FIFA's philatelic programme and will produce a range of stamps in a variety of designs capturing the flavour of both tournaments. So far, Correios has issued a special “FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil” souvenir sheet featuring two stamps which highlight the official emblem and the official trophy of the competition.
