Cristiano Ronaldo is the first player to reach a century of goals in European club competition, reaching the incredible milestone against Bayern Munich in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League. FIFA.com takes a closer look at the record.
King Cristiano's favourite stage
For Real Madrid, Ronaldo has amassed 82 goals in 84 UEFA Champions League games - quite remarkable figures of close to a goal per game during his time at the Bernabeu. In addition, the Portuguese plundered two goals in the UEFA Super Cup, also for Real, and scored 16 times in European club competition for Manchester United - 15 in the UEFA Champions League and once in the qualifiers for that tournament. What these remarkable figures relay is that The Best FIFA Men's Player 2016 has scored 97 of his century in Europe's elite club competition, the UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo on his record
"It's an honour to reach this number," Cristiano Ronaldo told UEFA.com. "And to do it against a team as great as Bayern makes it feel even better."

"Bayern Munich must be sick of the sight of him, so regularly are they tormented in his presence."
"Cristiano Ronaldo’s critics have grown louder than ever this season, but his explosive darts over five yards create space and will likely continue to do so for years to come."
"Cristiano Ronaldo leads the way."
"King Ronaldo proves doubters wrong."
