The final transfer window of 2013 reached its climax on Monday with clubs from across the globe working right up to the last minute to buy and sell players before the opportunity passed.
FIFA.com was there to bring you extensive coverage of all the transfers as soon as they were confirmed. The live commentary began at 10.00 GMT on Monday and ended at 00.30 GMT the following day, with last-minute deals still being confirmed after the window had closed at 23.00 GMT.

23.58 BST - Big transfer news coming out of England. Everton have confirmed five deals involving the club in the last moments of the transfer window. They have announced the departure of Marouane Fellaini to Manchester United for £27.5m, with Victor Anichebe departing to West Bromwich Albion for a fee which could rise to £6m. They also confirmed Ireland midfielder James McCarthy has arrived from Wigan Athletic for a fee of £13m, with Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku arriving on season-long loan deals from Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.
23.50 BST - Chelsea have confirmed that Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku has joined Everton on a season-long loan deal, despite interest from West Bromwich Albion, where he spent the 2012/13 season on a temporary deal.
23.31 BST - Harry Redknapp has returned to his former club Tottenham Hotspur for two season-long loan signings. English midfielder Tom Carroll and Cameroon international defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto have moved to Queens Park Rangers on temporary deals. He also teamed up with Croatia international Niko Krancjar once again as the midfielder joined from Dynamo Kiev on a loan deal for the season.
23.14 BST - Fulham have confirmed the signing of Montenegro midfielder Elsad Zverotic from Swiss side Young Boys on a two-year contract.
23.06 BST - To recap the biggest deals of the day: Mesut Ozil has moved to Arsenal from Real Madrid for a club record fee, after Gareth Bale was paraded at the Bernabeu as a new Los Blancos signing. Czech Republic forward Libor Kozak moved from Italian Serie A side Lazio to Aston Vila. Liverpool completed a trio of signings early in the day, with defenders Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho on permanent deals and Victor Moses on a loan deal from Chelsea. Away from England, Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld completed a move to Atletico Madrid from Ajax while Kaka returned to AC Milan from Real Madrid.
23.00 BST - The transfer window is CLOSED in England, but it seems there are still deals being finalised. We'll bring you the very latest as we get it.
22.57 BST - Arsenal's Jack Wilshere on Twitter: "Signing of the summer! Easily! Fantastic player, plays the 'Arsenal way'. Welcome @MesutOzil1088 absolutely buzzing!"
22.39 BST - Speaking to Arsenal's official site, Ozil spoke of his happiness at the move. "I am thrilled to be joining a club of the stature of Arsenal and am looking forward to playing in the Premier League," he said. "It will be great for my own personal development as a player and I am particularly looking forward to working with Arsène Wenger. From our negotiations it is clear the club has huge ambition and I look forward to being part of an exciting future.”
22.29 BST - Mesut Ozil is an Arsenal player. The German international has signed a 'long-term contract' with the Gunners in a 'club record deal'. Arsene Wenger said: “We are extremely pleased to have signed Mesut Ozil. He is a great player, with proven quality at both club and international level. We have watched and admired him for some time as he has all the attributes I look for in an Arsenal player."
Ozil himself posted a message on his Facebook page, addressed to fans of Real Madrid: "Thank you very much for three wonderful years with all of you. my time at real madrid was unique and special for me. sometimes things develop differently, than i would have expected them to a few days ago. Although I’m leaving real madrid I wish you and the team the very best for the future. Now I’m looking forward to my new club: THE GUNNERS!"
22.25 BST - Benin forward Stephane Sessegnon has moved to West Bromwich Albion from Sunderland for a club record fee and will wear the No29 shirt at the Hawthorns.
22.21 BST - Panathinaikos have announced the signing of 21-year-old attacking midfielder Viktor Klonaridis from Lille, the club confirmed on their official website.
22.04 BST - Sunderland have announced that Liverpool forward Fabio Borini has completed a season-long loan move to the Stadium of Light and have announced, via their official Twitter account, that Italy defender "Andrea Dossena has officially joined from Napoli."
22.00 BST - The transfer window is now CLOSED in Italy.
21.48 BST - Two loan moves have been announced from the first to the second tiers of France and England respectively. Guinea international Mohamed Yattara has completed a temporary switch from Lyon to Angers, while Wigan Athletic have confirmed the loan signing of Nick Powell from Manchester United.
21.29 BST - Big transfer news coming out of France and FIFA U-20 World Cup winner Florian Thauvin has completed his move from Lille to Marseille. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder's move has been confirmed on Les Phocéens' website. Vincent Labrune, Marseille president, said: "We are delighted that Florian could bring his talent to our team."
21.21 BST - Paraguay defender Lorenzo Melgarejo has completed a move to Kuban Krasnodar from Benfica, with the Russian side confirming the move on their website.
20.59 BST - Sochaux have brought in attacking-midfielder Thomas Guebert, with the 24-year-old arriving from Dijon on a four-year deal.
20.20 BST - Atletico Madrid confirm the signings of Toby Alderweireld - from Ajax on a four-year deal - and Joshua Guilavogui - joining on for the next five seasons from Saint Eitenne.
19.56 BST - Toulouse sign Francois Moubandje from Servette, with the 23-year-old left-back signing on a four-year deal.
19.35 BST - It has been a busy day for Rennes who, having already sold Melvut Erding to Saint Etienne, they have also loaned Axel Ngando, who was part of France's FIFA U-20 World Cup-winning squad at Turkey 2013, to Auxerre. They have also sent Fatamady Diarra out on loan to Istres.
19.23 BST - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger comments on his new goalkeeper, Emiliano Viviano: "[He] is a player that we have rated for some time and we are very pleased to have signed him on loan. He’s experienced and has proved himself at a high level, and provides us with excellent cover to our existing goalkeepers."
19.14 BST - Alvaro Velaquez, who was amongst Spain's UEFA U-21 European Championship-winning side in Israel, has joined Swansea City on loan from manager Michael Laudrup's former side Getafe. Laudrup told The Swans' official website: "He is a little different to the strikers we have and has the characteristics we have been looking for. He will give us a different option."
19.07 BST - Hellas Verona have secured Porto playmaker Juan Iturbe, who impressed during the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 with Argentina, has signed on loan until the end of the season with the option to buy.

18.48 BST - Barry Bannan has added to Crystal Palace's recruitments, coming in from Aston Villa on a three-year contract.
18.32 BST - Genoa have brought in 20-year-old midfielder Ricardo Centurion from Argentinian side Racing Club on loan.
18.22 BST - Viktoria Plzen bring in Martin Pospisil from fellow Czech Republic side Sigma Olomouc.
18.16 BST - Aston Villa have bolstered their front-line with the sizeable addition of Lazio forward and Czech international Libor Kozak on a four-year contract. "From when I was a young boy, I have dreamt of playing in the Premier League and to do this with a club such as Villa is incredibly motivating," he told the club's website. "It's real now and I'm very happy about this."
18.14 BST - Palermo confirm that Emiliano Viviano has joined Arsenal on a season-long loan, with the option to buy the former Fiorentina goalkeeper.
18.09 BST - Saint-Etienne have announced the dual additions in the shape of Yohan Mollo from Nancy and Rennes' Melvut Erding.
18.01 BST - FC Copenhagen have brought in Norwegian forward Daniel Braaten on a one-year deal after the his contract expired at Toulouse.
17.53 BST - Stoke City announce the loan signing of Stephen Ireland from Aston Villa on a season-long loan.
17.48 BST - Reading confirm that Jamaican international Adrian Mariappa has joined newly-promoted English Premier League side Crystal Palace.
17.42 BST - Getafe bring in Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez, with the Argentine centre-back moving on loan after joining the Portuguese Liga club from Arsenal of Argentina earlier in the transfer window.
17.38 BST - Tranquillo Barnetta will spend the rest of the season at Eintracht Frankfurt, after Schalke confirmed the Swiss midfielder has switched across the German Bundesliga.
17.24 BST - Ajax have signed Lerin Duarte from Hercules Almelo, with the 23-year-old Dutchman being given the recently-vacated No8 shirt, following Christian Eriksen's departure.

17.06 BST - Botafogo youngster Vitinho has become a CSKA Moscow player, according to the Russian Premier League side. The 19-year-old Brazilian forward, who made his debut in May for the South American side, signs on a five-year deal.
16.59 BST - Real Madrid have confirmed that goalkeeper Adan has bee released from his contract, making him available to freely discuss his future with other clubs.
16.51 BST - Parma have signed Nigerian international midfielder Joel Obi on a season-long loan from fellow Italian Serie A side Inter Milan.
16.29 BST - Liverpool have sold forward Daniel Pacheco to Spanish Segunda Division side Alcorcon, the English club have confirmed.
16.18 BST - West Bromwich Albion have announced the signing of goalkeeper Lee Camp, bolstering the English Premier League side's squad after Ben Foster was ruled out with a stress fracture in his foot.
15.38 BST - Sampdoria have added to the earlier signing Andrea Petagna by bringing in Icleandic international Birkir Bjarnason from Pescara.
15.13 BST - Former French Ligue 1 champions Montpellier have signed Peru U-20 forward Jean Deza from San Martin de Porres on loan, with the option to buy.
15.04 BST - Bordeaux confirm that Jaroslav Plasil has joined Catania on loan.
14.54 BST - FC Augsburg have completed the signing of Korea Republic international Jeong-Ho Hong from K-League team Jeju United. The 24-year-old central defender has signed a four-year deal which will see him remain at the SGL Arena until June 2017.
14.51 BST - Zambia international Emmanuel Mayuka has joined French Ligue 1 side Sochaux on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.
14.45 BST - Sevilla confirm the loan signing of Real Madrid left-sided midfielder Denis Cheryshev.
14.06 BST - Manchester City have announced that their Côte d'Ivoire international Abdul Razak will join Anzhi Makhachkala on loan until the end of the season.
13.54 BST - Italian champions Juventus have announced a double piece of business with fellow Serie A side Sassuolo. Leaving Turin is Luca Marrone, with the newly-promoted side buying a 50 per cent stake in the midfielder. I Bianconceri meanwhile have signed Domenico Berardi, with the 18-year-old striker remaining in Emilia for the 2013/14 season on loan.
13.50 BST - Kaka has spoken of his joy at rejoining AC Milan - a deal vice-president Adriano Galliani said was finalised at 2.30am today. The Brazilian playmaker told the club's website: "Four years have passed and now I’m back. It’s been two weeks that I thought if I could come back, a return to Milan would be ideal for me. In the last few days, I’ve been dreaming of hearing the fans sing my name in the San Siro again."
13.36 BST - Sampdoria have confirmed they have acquired AC Milan's teenage forward Andrea Petagna on a season-long loan. Talking to Italian media outlet TMW, he said he received advice from Antonio Nocerino and Giampaolo Pazzini: “I spoke with Nocerino and Pazzini. They both advised me to choose Sampdoria. They spoke well of boss Delio Rossi and I’m really happy.”
12.31 BST - Bologna have reached an agreement with Metalist Kharkiv to sign forward Jonathan Cristaldo on loan with the option to buy.
12.27 BST - Bale speaks: "I just want to say that it is amazing to be here. I hope I can help bring success to the club and that we can win the club's tenth European Cup this season."

11.45 BST - Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow have completed the signing of Stuttgart captain Serdar Tasci. The 26-year-old defender has signed a four-year deal until June 2017.

10.00 BST - There have already been a few early movements today. AC Milan have signed Kaka from Real Madrid, the Brazilian returning to his former club. 'I'm coming home,' he said. 'I'm very happy. And now I get to live lots of new joyous moments with Milan.' Kaka will wear his old number 22 jersey again.
The first English Premier League club off the mark on deadline day were Stoke City, the Potters signing Austria winger Marko Arnautovic just after midnight last night. An undisclosed fee has been paid to German club Werder Bremen, with Arnautovic singing a four-year deal at the Britannia Stadium. Liverpool have pulled off a double deal, signing 20 year-old Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon and Paris St-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho
