Ratnam SC claimed the Sri Lankan league title on Sunday’s final day of the season with a 3-0 victory over SL Air Force. The title is the club’s fifth championship since 1998 and their first since 2008.

Ratnam held a three-point margin going into the final day but second-placed SL Army could only draw 3-3 against New Young. The point proved enough for New Young to avoid relegation on goal difference, while 12-time champions Saunders only reached safety in the penultimate round.
