Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are the marginal favourites, closely followed by England's quartet of representatives - namely Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United - and Italian champions Inter Milan. Thereafter, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Lyon, AC Milan, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have their own title credentials.
Bordeaux, Marseille, Stuttgart, AZ, Olympiacos, Fiorentina, Rangers, CSKA Moscow, Rubin Kazan and Porto will hope to cause an upset reminiscent of the latter's 2004 triumph, while APOEL, Besiktas, Debreceni, Dinamo Kiev, FC Zurich, Maccabi Haifa, Standard Liege and Unirea dream of staging the biggest shock in the history of Europe's top club competition.
