Fiji's Lautoka and New Zealand's Auckland City sit atop their respective OFC O-League group standings at the conclusion of matchday 2 with both teams maintaining a 100 per cent record.
O-League newcomers Lautoka scored an important away win against Hekari United in Port Moresby to continue their strong start. The home side led the way at half-time through a Kema Jack penalty but the Fijians fought back to secure victory with second half goals to Valerio Nawatu and Apisai Smith.
It was a similar story for Auckland City who also were forced to come from behind to record a 2-1 victory and stay top of Group A. Playing at home, Oceania's FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009 representatives fell behind to a goal from Lamo Xewe, but two goals in quick succession kept the New Zealanders two points clear of city rivals Waitakere United. Matt Williams and Daniel Koprivcic scored the all-important goals with the latter bagging his fourth in two outings.
In the other group match, Waitakere were forced to work hard against a well-organised AS Manu Ura of Tahiti to record a 2-0 home win. Solomon Islands international Benjamin Totori and former All White Brent Fisher scoring second-half goals.
At Honiara's Lawson Tama Stadium Solomon Islands' champions Marist suffered a surprise second home defeat going down 2-0 to Vanuatu's Tafea. Marist now prop up Group B with Hekari United on one point trailing Tafea who have four points and group leaders Lautoka on six.
