Odense maintained their unbeaten start to the SAS Liga season in Denmark with a 1-0 victory at home to Randers on Monday. Henrik Hansen scored the only goal moments after the interval to earn Odense their fourth win in six fixtures.
They join AGF Aarhus at the top of the standings, while Randers prop up the table with just a single point so far.
In Norway, Sandefjord claimed their second successive win in the Norwegian Tippeliga with a 1-0 success at SK Brann. A 15th-minute strike from Orjan Royrane proved the difference between the two teams, as Brann missed the chance to move into the top four. Victory for Sandefjord sees them climb to eighth in the standings, five points behind today's opponents.
Meanwhile in Sweden, IFK Gothenburg missed the chance to move joint top of the Allsvenska as they could only draw 0-0 at Djurgarden.
IFK were clear favourites, but could have gone home empty-handed when Daniel Sjolund's effort for Djurgarden seemed to cross the line after hitting the bar, only for referee Daniel Stalhammar to rule it had not. The point moves IFK within two of leaders Elfsborg, one behind second-placed AIK.
Elsewhere, Gefle beat Hammarby 1-0 thanks to an own goal in the 15th minute by Igor Armas. Rock-bottom Orgryte beat mid-table Malmo 1-0 in a highly-impressive night's work. Alex Perreira scored the solitary goal 27 minutes in and Fredrik Jensen scored twice as Trelleborg beat visiting Halmstad 4-0.
