Live Qualifier Events
Whether you're a player or a spectator, the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2008 Live Qualifier Events will provide you with the ultimate football gaming experience!

With football skills zones to demonstrate your match performance, live music areas peppered with up and coming music acts, plus the opportunity to meet top professional footballers and win loads of goodies. Each event has something in it for everyone!

The FIFA Interactive World Cup 2008 provides more opportunities than ever before to secure a place at the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2008 Grand Final so you just need to turn up or log on to get involved.

Online Qualification
If you're unable to attend one of the live events then Online Qualification on the PlayStation®Network is the place for you. The Online modus will run until 31 March 2008, and will produce 12 of the 32 finalists at the FIWC08 Grand Final in Berlin on 24 May 2008. Once registered, every single FIFA 08 game that players play on the PlayStation®Network against anybody in the world will count for the overall Confederation standings. For example should a player be a resident of Spain, they will automatically fall under the European Confederation leader board.

The 12 finalists produced from the Online Qualification will be split as follows (as per the final standings on 31 March 2008):
Europe - The top 4 ranked players
North, Central America and Caribbean - The top 2 ranked players
Asia - The top 3 ranked players
Africa - The top 1 ranked player
Oceania - The top 1 ranked player
South America - The top 1 ranked player

World's Number One
Winning a national Qualifier Event or advancing through the Online Qualification will guarantee you a host of amazing prizes including a ticket to the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2008 Grand Final at the Sony Centre in Berlin, Germany on 24th May 2008. Here you will have the chance to be crowned the FIFA Interactive World Player 2008 and win $20,000 prize money.

Not only will you be awarded the title of FIFA Interactive World Player 2008, a significant prize money and a host of prizes from EA and PlayStation, you will also be sent on an unforgettable trip to attend the prestigious FIFA World Player Gala 2008 where you will receive your trophy alongside the greatest football players of 2008.

At the FIFA World Player Gala the FIFA Interactive World Player 2008 will rub shoulders with some of football's elite athletes.
