When did you start playing the EA SPORTS™ FIFA series?
I first started playing on FIFA 98 and then started competing in 2008, where I qualified for FIWC in Berlin, Germany and finished second.

What made you decide to participate in the FIWC?
The competitiveness is the underlying reason why I decided to play FIWC, but it's the love of the real life game that got me into playing the virtual game.

What has been your best result at the FIWC leading up to the 2014 edition?
This will be my third FIWC. I was runner-up at FIWC 08 in Berlin and I also placed in the Top 10 at FIWC 11.

In your opinion what do you think your chances are in the Grand Final?
I believe I have a very great chance to win. Many people like to say it, but few truly believe they have a chance to win. When I say it, I mean it. I have been one of the top players in the world each and every year and I think this might be the time I finally lift up the FIWC trophy.

How does it feel to have secured your seat for the Grand Final?
Man, this is the one FIWC I did not want to miss. Being such a huge real life football fan, I had to qualify for this one. Attending the World Cup and actually going to see a match, let alone a quarter-final match, will speak for itself.

What do you think it takes to win the Grand Final?
It's simple: Determination, confidence and luck. I don't care how good someone is, winning any tournament at any level, at any competition, in any sport, you will need some luck along the way. One bounce doesn't go your way and you can be on your way home.

Which team will you be supporting at the FIFA World Cup?
Portugal is the team I support. I was born in America, but my parents are 100 per cent Portuguese, born in Portugal. I have always been a Portugal fan.
