Following two days of top-quality action in Doha in the FIWC Season 3 Rest of the World regional final, four more players booked their tickets to the FIWC 2017 Grand Final.

Day 1 qualifiers
NagaiFC (Japan / Xbox)
Marcus_7170 (Australia / PS4)

Japan's "NagaiFC" cruised to a first-place finish in Xbox One Group 2, before easing past "Koolkiwi1777" 3-1 in the semi-finals and then pipping "LDLC Ulquiorra" 6-5 in a thrilling final.

Australian "Marcus_7170" had a somewhat less straightforward path to victory in the PlayStation 4 division. After finishing second in Group 1, he edged past "Samer96_" 2-1 in the last four, before getting the better of "Fruitballmay" by the same scoreline in the final.

Day 2 qualifiers
S_O_N_Y_528 (Hong Kong / PS4)
Aameghassib (Qatar / Xbox)

With four players tied on seven points in PS4 Group 2, Hong Kong's "S_O_N_Y_528" scraped through in second place courtesy of his goal difference. After a spectacular 4-3 win over "Lord_Sarmed" in the semi-finals, a 2-1 final victory over "Infamoushadow9" sealed his spot in London.

On the Xbox side, Qatari "Aameghassib" topped Group 4 on home soil before thrashing "Nalhababi" 4-1 in the semis. He finished the job by dispatching "Vincentcn" 2-1 in the final.

Did you know?
"S_O_N_Y_528" had previously caught the eye in the Season 1 regional final in Sydney, where he enjoyed a superb run before being brought crashing down to earth by former world champion Abdulaziz "MrD0ne" Alshehri in the PS4 final. He also qualified for the Season 2 regional final in Vancouver, where he once again impressed with his performances. It proved a case of third-time lucky in Qatar, with the Hong Kong native finally securing himself a seat on the plane to London.
