Online Season 4 winners:
FIWC_TkOvvy (Romania)
WeLoveEAsport (Bulgaria)

“It's the greatest tournament in the world and when Rio was announced as host city I knew I had to try and qualify. It feels truly amazing,” says Season 4 winner Ovidiu Patrascu. FIWC 2014 in Brazil will be the Romanian’s third consecutive Grand Final. It’s a prospect he relishes. “Passion, dedication, skill and of course a bit of luck in the important moments. That’s what it will take to win,” he says.

The second qualified player from Online Season 4 is FIWC 2012 quarterfinalist and FIWC 2013 Grand Finalist Krasimir Ivanov from Bulgaria. “I expect to be even better than I was Dubai,” he says. Krasimir will be hoping to put his 2013 performance in Madrid behind him, having exited in the group stage with a scorecard of: Played (6), Wins (0), Losses (3), Draws (3).

“There are 3 reasons to play the FIWC this year,“ says the player everyone knows as ‘Krasi’, “The 20,000 in cash, The Ballon d’Or and Rio!” When asked how he will prepare for the Grand Final, Krasimir is guarded. “I prefer to keep it to myself,” he says, “and surprise my opponents on the pitch.”

The numbers
As the seasons roll on, things are heating up in game! Almost 2.3 million matches were played in Season 4 with over 8.8 million goals scored! France still holds the highest amount of competitors in FIWC 2014, but Season 4 saw Italian gamers replace German players in the number 3 spot. The Brazilian hosts are growing in numbers with each passing season and now make up over 7 per cent of all players in the 2014 edition. Brazilians, don’t miss out on your chance to win the Host Country Qualification Seat for FIWC 2014 through our Live Qualifier in April! Read more about the Brazil Qualifier.

Country Challenge
Perhaps the biggest surprise of Season 4 was the performance of gamers from Malaysia, all of which contributed to making the South East Asian nation the winner of the County Challenge! The 162 ranked Malaysian players contributed to a 1.667 win-loss ratio. All 162 ranked players will be placed into the Country Challenge prize draw for Season 4! One lucky name will win a trip to watch the final day of the FIWC 2014 Grand Final and a match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup!
