Formations: A look at the basic differences
The 4-4-2 enables a player to put pressure on both the attack and defense. The 4-3-3 uses the natural wings and is best suited to stretch your opponents. The 4-4-1-1 allows a deep striker to make a lot of crosses whilst the second striker is mainly free to move around the attacking third. The 4-5-1 is a solid yet flexible attacking option that can be transformed when necessary into an aggressive 4-3-3 formation as long as your two wing players are good offensively. Finally, the 3-5-2 is best suited to those players who like to posses the ball throughout the midfield and are waiting for the perfect opportunity to attack the goal.
Do any of these formations appeal to you? The right formation can be the key to winning a game and with so many to choose from, we would like to know which one works best for you!
