With more Grand Final seats and more gaming platforms to play on, The FIFA Interactive World Cup 2016 was the biggest and most competitive edition of the virtual world cup yet!

Choosing a host city to do justice to the most ambitious Grand Final yet – with an expanded format of 32 qualification seats and the inclusion, for the first-time ever, of both of the world’s leading consoles (PlayStation®4 and Xbox One) - was a massive challenge. Ultimately, one of the world’s most iconic cities won the honour of hosting the landmark 2016 Grand Final.

New York
New York 2016 marked the Grand Final’s first trip to North America since the Los Angeles Grand Final in 2011.

The 32 Grand Finalists for FIWC 2016 traveled to the Big Apple for three days of living it up while also getting down to some high-stakes gaming on EA SPORTS™ FIFA 16. The 2016 world champion – the first to ever be decided on both of the world’s leading gaming consoles - received USD 20,000 and a trip to the FIFA Ballon d’Or.
