FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee has found Brazilian players’ agent Renato de Moura Ricardo guilty of a violation of article 19 par. 4 of the FIFA Players’ Agents Regulations and point 3 of the Code of Professional Conduct.
The case was referred by The Football Association to FIFA in June 2011 as it had an international dimension, and relates to the transfer of Heurelho Gomes to Tottenham Hotspur from PSV Eindhoven in July 2008.
Mr Renato de Moura Ricardo has been ordered to pay a fine of CHF 7,000 and the costs of the proceedings. In addition, Mr Renato de Moura Ricardo has been issued with a warning in accordance with art. 10 a) and art. 13 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and also informed that a further breach of the Players’ Agents Regulations will result in more severe sanctions to be determined by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, which can lead to a suspension or even a withdrawal of the players’ agent licence.
