Match of the week: Dalian Haichang-Shandong Luneng (China PR)
Six games from the end of the Chinese Super League season and Shandong Luneng are just one point off the pace. Meanwhile, sixth-placed Dalian Haichang are just two points behind their upcoming opponents. Can Dalian diminish Shandong's title hopes while furthering their own? The pivotal match is sure to bring out the best in the pair of title contenders.

The derbies
Porto-Sporting (Portugal)
It's Dragons against Lions as two of Portugal's 'big three' square off. Sporting, who are undefeated in their last six away outings, will be looking to capitalise on Porto's recent surprise loss at Sporting Braga. Boasting a 91-point return, Sporting to win is a risky but enticing prediction.

Alajuelense-Saprissa (Costa Rica)
Costa Rica's two most prominent clubs do battle in the Clasico Nacional. Saprissa are undefeated this season, a statistic Alajuelense will be looking to end. The hosts are favourites, having won their last three home games.

Borussia Dortmund-Schalke (Germany)
Contested between the Ruhr Area's two big Bundesliga clubs, the Revierderby has been the stage of some incredible performances between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke. Die Konigsblauen lead the overall series with 50 wins, while Dortmund have won 44. The sides have drawn some 33 times. Dortmund's poor start to the season (only one win in six outings) may lead many predictors to side with sixth-placed Schalke on this occasion.

The long shot: Deportivo Tachira-Deportivo Anzoategui (Venezuela)
Eighth-placed Deportivo Anzoategui have the opportunity to climb some four places on the Primera Division table when they visit Deportivo Tachira. Tachira have conceded only three goals in their first six matches, which include outings against two of the current top three teams. While Deportivo Anzoategui are heavy outsiders against what looks like a solid Tachira team, the potential 90-point bounty makes them an enticing option for the risk-taking predictors.
