thelordofwar and Moorgrund finished at the summit of Round 27 on equal points. Central to their respective 567 points were the results of the featured matches in La Liga and the J-League.

Ironically, co-winner Moorgrund logged the weakest number of correct predictions of the top six predictors. The German correctly predicted seven-from-ten matches, while all other members of this week's top six scored eight-from-ten.

Even Universidad Catolica's giant win at Colo Colo (82 points) - a fixture the top two failed to predict - couldn't clinch it for third-placed camisa10. The Portuguese was thwarted by the 0-0 score line at Montedio Yamagata (75 points) and the 3-3 result at Espanyol (74 points).

Paris Saint-Germain fans share their disappointment with the pair of fourth-placed predictors. Marseille's 3-1 victory over their major rivals (77 points) cost both Binas666 and 1soccer a signed FIFA World Cup™ winner's jersey.

The two ladies in sixth place proved that World Leagues Predictor isn't just a game for the boys. flygirl and gabrielalala put in an impressive performance, missing out on first place by just 28 points.

AGUEVO attacks
Mirroring Liverpool's incredible performance at Old Trafford, AGUEVO relentlessly attacked Saururrex's lead in Round 27 and the American gained 163 points on the Mexican leader. Only 72 points now separate the two with ten rounds left to play!

In other top ten action, Zizo10 (fourth) and OARCHILA (fifth) dropped one place each, while kammer (third) and reduardo (sixth) climbed two places each. With only a handful of points separating the top six overall, predictors can expect more changes next week.

Eight-placed TOUNSIFIDDAM put in the best performance of the top ten. The Tunisian predicted eight out of ten and missed out on bonus points by just one goal.

The final stretch has come into full view. There are ten rounds left, ten FIFA World Cup winner's jerseys to be won, and only one grand prize for the winner of FIFA World Leagues Predictor 2009.
