Augustin Berry Moya, an ex-footballer and alumni of the first FIFA/CIES Programme in Costa Rica, was appointed as the new Director of the Costa Rican Institute of Sports and Leisure (ICODER) last week.

The announcement was made by Giselle Goyenaga, the country's Minister of Sports, who explained that Augustin Berry had been selected among 27 candidates for his wealth of experience in sport administration.

About his nomination, the new ICODER director commented: “I played football during 24 years. I managed the club FC Brujas for 2 years, and I also carried out studies in administration. This makes me feel comfortable to take up the challenges which I will now have to face.
