The Universidad Católica Argentina, partner of CIES since 2004, and the Observatory of Sport (Argentina), will hold an international seminar on the management of sports organisations in Buenos Aires on 26 November 2010. The event, supported by CIES, will focus on the creation of new income sources in the field of sports, and will cover themes such as “The management and sustainable development of stadia”, “Sport tourism” and “The exploitation of the football broadcasting rights”.

Among the keynote speakers, it is worth mentioning Charles Botta (Switzerland), architect in charge of supervising the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadia, Antonio Pérez (Argentina), architect specialised in stadia building, Miguel Maurette (Argentina), regional commercial director at Bovis Lend Lease, Kamilla Swart (South Africa), director of the South African Research Centre on Tourism, Lic. Leonardo Boto (Argentina), executive secretary of the National Institute for Tourism Promotion, Daniel E. Gazzo (Argentina), founder and CEO of Museos Derportivos SA, Marco Brunelli (Italy), general director of the Italian Professional Football League and Harold Mayne-Nicholls (Chile), president of the Chilean Football Federation.
