Physically strong and with good positional sense, Vero is a well-regarded member of Eddy Etaeta’s squad at Brazil 2013.

After starting out as a midfielder, the tall 23-year-old has developed into a solid right-sided defender who is also capable when pushing forward in possession.

Vero is likely to start on the bench in Brazil having played four of Tahiti’s 11 outings during their 2014 FIFA World Cup™ cycle, with the campaign incorporating the OFC Nations Cup matches where the AS Dragon man made three of his appearances.

Unlike others in his age bracket, Vero missed selection for Tahiti’s breakthrough appearance at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt four years ago.

At club level, he is a member of the successful AS Dragon club who have won the past two league titles. Vero gained further exposure to football beyond Tahitian shores with Dragon’s particpation in this year’s OFC Champions League as the club narrowly missed out on winning through to last month’s final.
