A left-sided attacking midfielder, Tehau is a key member of Eddy Etaeta's side having topped the team’s goalscoring list during the qualifying campaign.

One of four members of the Tehau family at Brazil 2013, Lorenzo scored five goals at last year’s OFC Nations Cup, including four in the opener against preliminary round qualifiers Samoa. On the debit side, match-time has been limited in recent months and he didn’t feature in either of this year’s concluding FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers, while his club commitments concluded back in March.

Along with twin brother Alvin and cousin Teaonui, Lorenzo is yet another squad member with experience from Tahiti’s 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup campaign. Tehau played all three matches at Egypt 2009, including against Brazil 2013 opponents Spain and Nigeria. He lists his favourite players as two looming midfield rivals in Brazil: Spain midfielders Andres Iniesta and Xavi.

Now 24, Tehau, has enjoyed a successful club career at perennial title challengers AS Tefana. He has won two league and cup crowns, and featured as the side reached their maiden OFC Champions League final last year.
