Debuting way back in 2000, goalkeeper Samin is the most experienced player in the Tahiti squad. For over 13 years, the 35-year-old has been involved in the national team through four FIFA World Cup™ campaigns and has earned selection from just as many coaches in the process.

Samin was a key figure as Tahiti reached the Festival of Champions and featured in seven of the team's 11 FIFA World Cup qualifiers during the current campaign, sharing the duties with Mikael Roche. At last year’s OFC Nations Cup, which doubled as qualifying for Brazil 2013, Samin came into the side for the final group match and retained his position for the semi and final, keeping clean sheets in the process.

A very solid goalkeeper renowned for his consistency, Samin offers reliability and experience in equal measure.

Remarkably, given his longevity in the game, Samin has only ever played for one club, AS Tefana. Indeed, he started playing football there at the age of eight, and 27 years later he’s still a Tefana player. In his 17 years in the Tefana first team, he’s won three championships and multiple cups.
