In recent years Aldo de Nigris has become one of the most feared forwards in Mexican football. A physically imposing striker with excellent aerial ability, De Nigris has been one of the driving forces behind Monterrey's continental dominance in the last three years.

Football runs in the De Nigris family and the frontman considers his late brother Antonio, who also led the line for Monterrey as well as several European clubs, to be his greatest role model.

Now 29, de Nigris arrives at Brazil 2013 at the peak of his powers and although he is unlikely to start initially, his unerring eye for goal means he will undoubtedly have a big part to play for Mexico.
