As shown in a test event carried out on Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro, picking up tickets is really quite simple. After previously arranging a time via the FIFA.com website, fans should make their way to the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Recife, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, while it is also possible to make the pick-up at the Aeroporto Internacional do Galeão or at the Hotel Windsor Guanabara in the city centre, at a prearranged time.
Once there, fans will be directed to a service counter where they should produce a form of photo ID, which must be the same one used when purchasing the ticket. Important note: only the purchaser of the ticket(s) may perform the pick-up, at each of the FIFA Confederations Cup venues.
After documentation has been verified, the ticket(s) will be handed over together with a leaflet containing all the information fans need to get the utmost enjoyment out of their FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 experience. This leaflet will also soon be available on FIFA.com.
It is worth remembering that it is possible to pick up tickets on matchdays, but FIFA does stipulate that supporters do so at a pre-arranged time so that they are able to arrive at stadiums in plenty of time.
Another detail that is worth mentioning relates to tickets for senior citizens, students and beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família programme. It is imperative that all supporters who fall into those categories provide documentation that proves their right to those concessions both at time of pick-up from the Ticketing Centres as well as on the day of the match at the stadiums’ ticket verification points.
The list of documents required for ticket pick-up can be found on FIFA.com.
