FIFA.com spoke with FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke, who was invited to Brazil in mid-May to visit the cities of Natal, Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro and emerged highly satisfied with the progress being made in the FIFA World Cup™ host nation.

The six stadiums for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013, being held from 15-30 June in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Recife and Salvador as well as Brasilia and Rio, are all ready.

The Secretary General was particularly impressed by the venues in Brasilia and Rio, as he underlined in his interview with us. He was also pleased with ticket sales, stating that 76 per cent of all tickets for the Festival of Champions have already been snapped up.
