Another incredible Confeds day
has come to an end and we now have both of Sunday's finalists confirmed. Hosts Brazil will face Spain in a mouthwatering Final at the Maracana, after a thrilling conclusion to today's semi-final.

It was unbridled joy for Jesus Navas, as the new Manchester City recruit slammed his penalty low and hard to Buffon's right to send Spain into ecstasy. Leonardo Bonucci was the unlucky man to miss his penalty and give Navas that opportunity. We'll leave you with the moment that Bonucci sent his penalty over Casillas' crossbar.

Leonardo Bonucci of Italy misses a penalty

Here's what our Facebook users have been saying after the incredible second semi-final.

Ines Nakouri (on Casillas, man of the match): While all the players were about to give up, he moved and played really great

Janelle Pacora: Way to go Spain, I was rooting for you guys all the way! Mucho suerte in the Final against Brazil! Hope you win

Dhrüv Rõgër Påtël: Both the teams are competitive. Great soccer match.

Jesus Navas of Spain battles with Emanuele Giaccherini of Italy

I think that it was an excellent performance from both teams, who proved they are right at the top of the European game. We couldn’t control the game properly and we looked very open. Then fortune went our way in the shoot-out, which put us through to a great final. We’re enormously excited about taking on Brazil in the Maracana.

Vicente del Bosque the Spain Head Coach speaks to Andres Iniesta of Spain and Juan Mata

This match has been a great test for us, no doubt about that, and we passed it despite the result. We were convinced about how we needed to play, in both technical and tactical terms, and I’m certain that we need to keep persevering. We proved that we have the quality to battle it out with the best.

Cesare Prandelli head coach of Italy consoles his players

We asked our Twitter followers a question, and here's what one of them said:

Here's what some of our Club users are saying after that thrilling game.

Spain went through! Finally, after half a decade of awaiting this match eagerly, I'll get to see a Spain-Brazil! I was certain I'd see it in 2009, but then Spain lost for the first time in over a year against a mediocre US. Then I was certain to see a Spain-Brazil as the ultimate world cup final; but then Brazil gets beaten by the Dutch after a wonderful first half. But at last; there it is. Yeah, the disparity in skill has grown, but we musn't forget Brazil plays at home. I predict a 1-0, or 2-0 for Spain.

Wow. What an enthralling and tense evening in Fortaleza, as the sides could not be separated after 120 minutes. It then took until the 13th penalty for either side to flinch, with Leonardo Bonucci firing his effort over the bar. New Manchester City winger Jesus Navas stepped up and sent Spain into Sunday's Final against the hosts.

We'll be bringing you the very latest reaction from the players and coaches after that physically and emotionally draining evening for both sides. Very soon, we'll also be bringing you video highlights.
